I hail from Lumding, Assam, a quaint tribal town, where my
journey began. Since childhood, my passion has revolved
around empowering tribal communities. Spending considerable
time among them, I absorbed their struggles and
aspirations. An incident during my 8th-grade year deeply
impacted me. I witnessed a shopkeeper exploiting my
caretaker’s ignorance of currency values. This moment
ignited a resolve within me. I commenced teaching young tribal
children essential skills: writing their names, understanding
currency, and interpreting signage. Thus began my unyielding
voyage as a Tribal Rights Activist. Alongside, I
pursued a career as a Criminal Psychologist, nurturing
and empowering tribal individuals towards constructive
endeavors. My efforts have materialized into tangible
improvements for tribal welfare: constructing community
facilities, educational institutions, shelters, and sanitation
facilities. Additionally, I champion the cause of sustainable
menstruation, empowering over 60,000 tribal women with
the knowledge of producing biodegradable pads, fostering
economic independence. My commitment remains unwavering.
I will persist until indigenous communities thrive, unwavering
in the face of any obstacle.
